Position Title: Technical Recruiter 

 

Job Summary:

 

The Technical Recruiter will be responsible for identifying, sourcing, and presenting top-tier candidates for technology positions while collaborating closely with hiring managers to define and refine technical requirements. This role requires a deep understanding of IT recruitment, including talent acquisition, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding.

 

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in IT recruitment, a strong grasp of technical job roles, and the ability to build a robust talent pipeline. We are seeking a highly driven and strategic IT recruiter who is passionate about connecting top tech talent with the right opportunities to fuel organizational growth in the ever-evolving IT sector. Most importantly, this role is about empowering professionals to build successful careers in the field of technology while driving innovation and excellence in hiring.

 

DUTIES:

 

  • Manage the full lifecycle of IT recruitment, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding top technical talent.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand role requirements, update job descriptions, and define the ideal candidate profile.
  • Identify the most effective sourcing methods, including job boards, social media platforms, professional networking, and passive candidate outreach.
  • Screen resumes and assess candidate qualifications through structured interviews, technical assessments, and reference checks.
  • Maintain and manage an IT talent pipeline by leveraging applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment databases.
  • Draft and post compelling job advertisements in digital and print media to attract qualified IT professionals.
  • Implement proactive IT headhunting strategies to engage both active and passive candidates in the job market.
  • Conduct initial interviews and coordinate technical assessments with hiring managers or IT teams.
  • Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the hiring process, providing updates and ensuring a positive candidate experience.
  • Facilitate salary negotiations between hiring managers and final candidates, ensuring competitive compensation aligns with market standards.
  • Verify candidate credentials, certifications, and work history to ensure compliance with company hiring standards.
  • Attend job fairs, industry conferences, and networking events to promote the company’s employer brand and build relationships with IT professionals.
  • Develop and execute innovative recruitment strategies based on the latest industry trends and talent acquisition best practices.
  • Foster relationships with IT professionals and industry experts to expand the company's network of potential candidates.
  • Track and analyze recruitment metrics to optimize hiring processes and improve time-to-fill for IT positions.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, supporting overall talent acquisition efforts and company hiring goals

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION: 

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • At least three years of experience in recruitment, with a strong focus on IT and technical roles preferred.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or SHRM Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential is required.

 

Experience/Skills:

  • Equivalent experience in IT recruitment, technical staffing, or talent acquisition may be considered in place of a degree.
  • Strong understanding of IT industry trends, technical job roles, and hiring best practices to effectively source and evaluate candidates.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS), job boards, and HR recruitment software for efficient candidate sourcing and management.
  • Proficiency in English with excellent communication skills to engage with candidates and hiring managers at all levels.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain a strong IT talent pipeline through networking, headhunting, and innovative sourcing strategies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with candidates, hiring teams, and industry professionals.
  • In-depth understanding of technology, IT job roles, and technical skill sets across various disciplines.
  • Extensive knowledge of recruiting methods, talent acquisition strategies, and industry best practices.
  • Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations related to hiring and recruitment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and applicant tracking systems (ATS) or other recruitment software.
  • Proven experience as an IT recruiter or in a similar technical recruitment role.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate complex technical job requirements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Exceptional networking skills with the ability to proactively source and attract top IT talent.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess candidate qualifications and match them with job requirements.
