Job Description:
The Materials Testing Technician position involves conducting field testing to ensure compliance with industry standards. This includes collecting data, reporting observations and test results, and participating in training and certification programs to enhance skills and expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine field testing of concrete, soil, asphalt, reinforcing steel, masonry, fireproofing, structural steel welding and/or bolting
- Collect data and report observations and test results daily
- Participate in training and certification programs to enhance skills and expertise
- Collaborate with the design team and other stakeholders to ensure successful projects from start to finish
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass a drug test
- Preferred qualifications: Associate's degree or greater, knowledge of general inspection and testing principles, safety, and quality control/quality assurance principles, as well as active applicable certifications
Compensation:
CMT Technical Services offers competitive hourly rates based on experience, ranging from $25 for entry-level candidates to $26-$38 for experienced candidates with active certifications. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401K, paid vacation, paid sick days, and 7 ½ paid holidays.
