Our Energy Solutions division delivers Guaranteed Energy Savings Performance Contracts (ESPCs), allowing facilities to upgrade and renovate in a budget-neutral or even budget-positive way.
The construction site superintendent's primary responsibility is to ensure a smooth and successful fulfillment of the contract after the design phase. They will oversee pre-contract activities, such as reviewing project drawings and assisting with subcontractor selection. During construction, they will develop a schedule, manage subs, and administer safety programs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Pre-Contract Activities
- Review project drawings for scope, constructability, and cost savings
- Assist with pre-construction walkthroughs and subcontractor selection
- Construction
- Develop construction schedule and manage subs to hit required milestones on schedule
- Develop project safety binder and review with subcontractors
- Administer safety program
- Assist with managing equipment lead times
- Order any construction-related items
- Lead construction review meetings
- Weekly field reports documenting progress for the Owner
- Assist with the commissioning effort
- Register applicable equipment for warranties
- Schedule factory start-ups and ensure start-up sheets are filled out
- Owner training scheduling, coordination, etc.
- Project punch lists
- Post Construction
- Address project issues
- Help resolve warranty issues as needed
- Develop O&M manuals and as-builts
The ideal candidate will have experience with HVAC/mechanical systems and commercial construction, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with various teams.
