Job Description:
CMTA is looking for a skilled Commercial HVAC Service Professional with 10 years of commercial HVAC service experience. The Commercial HVAC Service Professional is responsible for utilizing their knowledge of refrigeration, electrical schematics, pneumatic and electronic control systems, pipe fitting, welding/brazing, and mechanical layouts to maintain and repair HVAC systems and bridge the HVAC needs of the client with the technical solutions that meet those needs. The Commercial HVAC Service Professional is responsible for utilizing their knowledge of refrigeration, electrical schematics, pneumatic and electronic control systems, pipe fitting, welding/brazing, and mechanical layouts to maintain and repair HVAC systems and bridge the HVAC needs of the client with the technical solutions that meet those needs. This position is critical to our team for several reasons including:
- Increasing Complexity of Systems: Modern HVAC systems are more complex than conventional systems. This complexity requires expert guidance to ensure systems are designed, installed, and maintained correctly.
- Focus on Energy Efficiency: With a global emphasis on energy efficiency and reducing carbon emissions, clients seek expert advice on sustainable HVAC solutions. Our Service Professionals play a key role in supporting systems that meet these goals.
- Regulatory Changes: Changes in building codes and environmental regulations require HVAC systems to meet specific standards. Our Service Professionals are needed to help navigate these regulations and ensure compliance.
- Maintenance and Optimization: Beyond start-up and commissioning, there is a continuous need for system optimization and maintenance. Our Service Professionals provide valuable advice to customers regarding maintenance, efficiency, and extending the life of HVAC systems.
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting of commercial HVAC systems with excellent customer relation skills
- Assessment of existing HVAC systems, contractor installations, equipment start-up procedures, etc.
- Knowledge of routine maintenance services for HVAC systems, kitchen equipment, plumbing fixtures, and other mechanical systems
- Performing service and repairs of commercial HVAC systems
- Utilizing building automation system for HVAC system scheduling, setpoint adjustments, and mechanical equipment diagnostics
- Using a variety of hand tools, following blueprints, wiring diagrams, piping schemes or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair systems
- Maintaining a vehicle by keeping records of service manuals, scheduling, and completing repairs and maintenance service
- Documenting work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files
- Knowledge of manufacturers’ products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair
- 10 years of commercial HVAC service experience
- Associate’s degree, HVAC trade school certification or 5-year apprenticeship program
- Valid drivers license in good standing, issued by resident state required.
