We are currently seeking a highly motivated Civil Inspector located in Portland, OR.
Required Education
High school diploma
OR
Bachelors degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
Required Qualifications: In order to become a candidate, you must possess the following skills and abilities.
3 years of relevant experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including MS Project.
Ability to learn new computer programs quickly. Current programs include SharePoint.
Knowledge of Bluebeam PDF software.
Strong prioritization and organizational skills; detail-oriented.
Responsibilities
Construction Quality Assurance Inspection.
Construction processes and methods, materials and their use, characteristics, preparation and/or installation.
Construction specifications and standards.
Safety practices to be followed during construction.
Quality standards and test methods for construction materials.
This position works very closely with the project owner, project superintendents and project engineer.
Ensure all work is in conformance with the contractual requirements.
Verify all material incorporated into the project conforms to all submittals, project specifications and drawings.
Understand and execute the required testing procedures in conformance with the contract documents and industry standards.
Review all special inspection and material testing performed by third parties.
Frequent verbal and written communication with general contractors, subcontractors, and/or owners representatives.
Salary
$47.00 - $52.00 per hour
Bonus Pay
A bonus may be granted to employees depending on individual performance, employee utilization, attendance, tenure, and furtherance of other non-financial corporate goals; bonus opportunities are available at managements discretion.
