We’re currently seeking a highly motivated Construction Inspector located in Los Angeles, CA .
Required Education:
- HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR GED
Required Certifications/Licenses:
- 30-hour Cal-OSHA training prior to assignment. The 30-hour training should have been received
within the last 4 years.
Required Qualifications:
In order to become a candidate, you must possess the following skills and abilities.
- 5 years or more of experience performing inspection of large-scale Public Works type
- projects.
- Proven expertise in the installation and inspection of sewer and storm drain systems, utility infrastructure, and traffic control measures.
- Strong working knowledge of City of Los Angeles and County of Los Angeles Standards. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Requires a detail-oriented professional with extensive field experience and a strong commitment to safety and compliance.
- May assume other duties as required/needed.
- Maybe required to work various shifts as needed.
- The position will require the candidate to have the ability to transit to, from, and betweenproject sites.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections for the installation of sanitary sewer systems and storm drains, including related structures, in accordance with City and County of Los Angeles Standards.
- Oversee the installation of underground wet and dry utilities, working within or for various Southern California regional agencies.
- Perform inspections for the installation of street lighting and traffic signal systems, following the specifications set by the City of Los Angeles Bureau of Street Lighting and the Los Angeles Department of Transportation.
- Ensure compliance with multi-phased, site-specific traffic control plans, with a strong emphasis on pedestrian safety and routing.
- Collaborate professionally within a large team of inspectors.
- Apply extensive knowledge of City of Los Angeles Standard Plans/Specifications and the
- Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction (Greenbook).
Preferred skills and abilities:
- Computer and software skills related to MS Office- Word, Excel, Project, Office 365, Power Point.
- E-Builder or BlueBeam a plus.
Salary:
$138,000 - $145,000 Annually
Bonus Pay:
A bonus may be granted to employees depending on individual performance, employee utilization, attendance, tenure, and furtherance of other non-financial corporate goals; bonus opportunities are available at management’s discretion.
