We are currently seeking a highly motivated Junior Accountant located in Dallas, TX.
Overview:
Junior Accountants support upper-level accounting managers and senior accountants while providing additional assistance to office staff. They are integral to the hierarchy of the office and resolve many issues before they become larger problems.
Required Education:
- Bachelors degree emphasis in Accounting
Required Qualifications:
In order to become a candidate, you must possess the following skills and abilities:
- Proficient in Excel.
- Ability to work independently
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to effectively engage different personality types.
- Well organized and detailed.
- Self starter and team player.
- Willing to work in-office 40 hours per week plus overtime as needed to meet deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with maintaining accounts receivable including billing and issue resolution.
- Assist with processing accounts payable, including issue resolution.
- Reviewing & reconciling general ledger accounts for multiple companies.
- Assist with gathering payroll expenses and creating journal entries for multiple companies.
- Preparing annual budgets and quarterly estimates in addition to analyzing variances.
- Assist with transition to new financial and project accounting software.
- Assist with set up of projects in financial and time keeping systems.
- Prepare weekly cashflow forecasts.
- Assist with duties related to office management e.g. opening mail, filing documents etc.
Salary:
- $67,000.00/yr.
Bonus Pay:
A bonus may be granted to employees depending on individual performance, employee utilization, attendance, tenure, and furtherance of other non-financial corporate goals; bonus opportunities are available at management’s discretion.
