We are currently seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer – Assistant PM/Baggage located in Tampa, FL.
Required Education:
- College coursework in a related field required; Associates or Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture preferred, or equivalent experience
Preferred Certifications/Licenses:
- OSHA 10
- CPR First Aid
Required Qualifications:
In order to become a candidate, you must possess these skills and abilities
- Baggage Handling System experience is mandatory
- Ability to apply basic engineering/problem-solving principles to construction challenges.
- Knowledge of procurement activities including requisitions and contracts.
- Planning, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to multitask.
- Demonstrated ability in supporting complex projects
Responsibilities:
- Serves as an assistant to any Project Manager, Project Lead to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Manager by implementing a myriad of typically technical tasks on an as needed basis
- Operates in the office and/or field conducting administrative duties essential to project delivery.
- Becomes familiar with all pertinent Contract documents as well as Project software and controls systems.
- Assists in the processing and monitoring of progress payments, submittals, document management / controls and distribution, and general management of project related office support services.
- Stays familiar with Airport Operations, necessary security protocols and Airport notification processes (i.e. SIRs, MCNs, NOTAMs, etc.) so that work can continue in a timely manner. Assists PM as needed in these areas with particular attention to upcoming work efforts that require notifications.
- Provides open and honest communication to HCAA Staff and others as required, both oral and written, depending on the situation at hand. Works closely with PM on dissemination of information.
- Participates in necessary meetings with Contractor and HCAA staff as needed.
Salary:
$115,000 annuallyBonus Pay:
A bonus may be granted to employees depending on individual performance, employee utilization, attendance, tenure, and furtherance of other non-financial corporate goals; bonus opportunities are available at management’s discretion.
