Experience :
A minimum of 7 years related experienceTechnical Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD, or MicroStationProficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and OutlookProficiency in Bluebeam Revu, ArcGIS, KMZsTransportation and Utility Experience
Experience / knowledge of Transportation / RoadwayRelevant utilities coordination experience with a successful track record of delivering projects on schedule and within budgetExperience / knowledge of Utility Companies, and Industry StandardsFamiliarity with Utility Accommodation Policies on roadway facilitiesDocument and Plan Understanding
Ability to read and understand contractual documents, including but not limited to deeds, engineering plans, sub-contractor proposals, reimbursement agreements, occupancy and use agreements, etc.Ability to read and understand civil transportation engineering design plansAbility to read and understand utility installation and adjustment plansUnderstanding of real estate principles and the ability to read and understand easements, deeds, legal descriptions, and general documents associated with property rightsSoft Skills

The Senior Utility Coordinator III will play a critical role in supporting the Airfield and Terminal Modernization Project (ATMP) at Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA). This position combines responsibilities for managing interactions with various Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) and overseeing all utility-related aspects of the project. The role involves ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and permits while managing the planning, resolution, and execution of utility requirements to facilitate smooth operations at LAX. The ideal candidate will bring significant experience in project coordination, regulatory compliance, utility management, and stakeholder communication, contributing to the success of this high-profile infrastructure initiative.
Responsibilities :
Utility Coordination and Conflict ResolutionAssist with the identification, communication, and resolution of utility conflicts on Transportation / Roadway projects.
Work independently and with the project team, coordinating with utility companies and roadway engineers to meet client needs and objectives.Manage the process in developing and overseeing the execution of cost-share agreements between Owner and 3rd Party Utilities.Manage the notification process to 3rd Party Utilities.Interface with 3rd Party Coordinators at LAWA.Ensure timely installation of utility relocations so as not to delay the project.Manage the establishment of street vacations and easement establishment for Utility companies within the project footprint.Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) and Investigations
Assist with the management and coordination of Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) investigations, schedules, and submittals.Perform utility records research, obtaining project utility company contacts, existing maps and plans, preparing contacts, and assisting in utility conflict tracking reports.Quality Assurance and Document Review
Assist in the review and perform QA / QC of utility company agreements, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and invoices submitted by utility companies to assure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and requirements of the client.Apply company / client quality, policies, assurance guidelines, and procedures for project documents, time, and budget management.Review and / or check work produced by junior-level staff.Client Deliverables and Reporting
Assist with and prepare client deliverables, utility exhibits, project guides, project reviews, project invoices, expense reports, and project monitoring / field verification, as needed.Support Project Managers and / or lead the development of proposal elements, project scope elements, budget elements, and schedule elements.Type, format, and organize project documents, reports, specifications, and correspondence.Create and maintain paper and electronic files.Communication and Coordination
Frequent communication, both verbal and written, between project managers, clients, and utility owners to ensure project schedules are met and compliant with federal, state, and local laws, in addition to any other regulations required by the client.Assist with and conduct meetings, presentations, and minutes for both in-person and virtual meetings.Mentorship and Leadership
Mentor less-experienced staff.Review and / or check work produced by junior-level staff.Salary : 283,000 per year

A bonus may be granted to employees depending on individual performance, employee utilization, attendance, tenure, and furtherance of other non-financial corporate goals; bonus opportunities are available at managements discretion.
