Position Overview

As Marketing Assistant, you will support a variety of tasks that increase brand visibility, drive sales, and strengthen customer engagement. This position is perfect for a detail-oriented individual with a passion for the seafood industry and a flair for marketing.

Key Responsibilities

• Content Creation: Assist in crafting and scheduling engaging content for social media, newsletters, and our company website, ensuring our tradition of top-quality messaging.
• Market Research: Stay informed on emerging trends and competitor activities in the seafood industry, identifying strategies to bolster our brand's market presence.
• Event Coordination: Contribute to the planning and execution of trade shows, marketing events, and customer appreciation initiatives.
• Social Media Management: Monitor social platforms, engage with our community, and address inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Email Campaigns: Participate in the design, deployment, and analysis of email marketing campaigns, including managing subscriber lists.
• Sales Support: Develop marketing collateral and promotional tools to support the sales team in expanding customer reach and boosting revenue.
• Analytics and Reporting: Gather, analyze, and interpret marketing data to evaluate campaign effectiveness and recommend improvements.
• Administrative Support: Schedule meetings, organize marketing materials, and maintain databases to ensure efficient operations.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of marketing experience (preferably in food distribution or the seafood industry).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic to intermediate skills in graphic design/photography.
• Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Lightroom).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and marketing tools (Mailchimp, Hootsuite, etc.).
• Working knowledge of SEO, digital marketing, and social media platforms.
• Ability to effectively handle multiple projects and work both independently and collaboratively.
• Highly organized, resourceful, and eager to learn.
• A passion for seafood and sustainability is a plus.
