GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES :
The Talent Acquisition Specialist sources candidates using various channels and is responsible for sourcing, screening, and recommending candidates as well as onboarding new hires. The ultimate goal is creating talent pipelines that satisfy the current as well as future staffing needs of CMEP. The incumbent must have the ability to develop effective recruiting strategies, establish trust and partnerships with managers, and long-term trustful relations with potential employees. The HR team achieves results by being innovative, driven, collaborative and trustworthy. This is a hands-on tactical role that provides support in the areas of workforce planning (physician and staff recruitment), onboarding / employee engagement, and ad hoc projects as necessary.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Development of consistent practices related to physician & staff recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and employment
- Identify potential “fit” through effective interviewing and testing (if applicable), effectively administer the interviewing process (in coordination with AAP) and onboarding to ensure a positive new hire experience.
- Collaborate with Marketing to utilize Social Media and other best practices for effective recruiting tools to address talent acquisition challenges
- Research talent acquisition trends in the physician and staffing industry
- Scheduling physician interviews (building itineraries) for on-site visits and facilitating the physicians’ day
- Work in combination with external recruiters and build networking relationships
- Assists Department Chairs and hiring managers in the creation of new physician & staff positions; creates and edits job descriptions
- Meets with and guides search committees through the staff recruitment process, assists in the development of position announcements, interview questions, justifications, and committee recommendations
- Manages faculty and staff recruitment activity in iRecruit (ATS)
