Job Title: Territory Manager Heating Oil
Heating Oil Locations are a division of CN Brown Company. We’re family owned and local to New England with our corporate office located in South Paris, Maine. A Territory Manager has use of a company vehicle, company provided gasoline for that vehicle, cell phone, lap top and other tools necessary for the position.
Our growing retail business is seeking a Territory Manager who can create a productive working atmosphere, and is committed to overseeing the training of superior staff at all levels; Creating an atmosphere of legendary customer service in our Heating Oil Offices.
Below are the general duties of a Territory Manager, this list is not all inclusive, our company as a whole operates as a team minded entity with an expectation that we will all strive for success and profitability.
· Be responsible for creating an overall vision for each store in their district, establishing benchmarks for store management teams and implementing policies and programs to achieve those goals.
· Operational execution including time management, personnel management, labor and productivity.
· Hire, discipline, and utilize behavioral modification strategies to create a successful management team including termination.
· Budget planning, analysis and compliance.
· Loss prevention and safety
· Environmental Compliance, training enforcement and inspections.
· Directly supervise heating oil managers
· Have a heavy influence on sales growth, sales initiatives and promotions, ensuring that locations are actively promoting and involved in sales goals,
· Be an active liaison between the corporate headquarters and the locations staff, fostering an atmosphere of teamwork and positivity.
Minimum requirements:
· 2 years’ experience working in retail business in a management position with demonstrated leadership ability.
· Excellent communication skills, conflict resolution skills and strong interpersonal skills to motivate others to successfully implement company initiatives.
· Basic business math and accounting skills, and strong analytical/decision making skills.
· Basic computer literacy and proficient in Microsoft Office including excel.
· Ability to recruit, interview, hire and train a motivated team.
· Proven strong work ethic, ability to drive customer satisfaction, financial performance and employee satisfaction.
· Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
· Able to handle a large amount of drive time. You will be required to drive extensively within your territory as well as to the corporate headquarters and special events.
· Must be results orientated with a willingness to take responsibility and initiative.
· An ability to work on multiple tasks and effectively prioritize work to achieve corporate and personal goals.
· Maintain a high level of customer service through interactions with managers, associates, vendors and customers.
