Job Definition:
Supportive counseling and services are provided to individuals with psychiatric disabilities in residential programs.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or Higher, High School Diploma (Minimum).
Experience Required:
At least 1-year experience in a residential or mental health setting. Previous employment by CN Guidance is required for internal candidates.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Counseling, behavioral interventions, crisis management, and support services are provided.
- Residents are trained and assisted in household maintenance activities, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
- Residents are supported in daily activities, including food purchases, recreational activities, meal planning, and personal care.
- Resident service plans are developed and implemented, with a focus on achieving meaningful goals.
- Fire safety training and drills are conducted according to regulatory guidelines.
- Medicaid billable activities are participated in under the supervision of a lead staff member.
- Interactions with residents are documented according to agency policies and standards.
- Regular meetings are held with assigned residents to review service plans and provide support.
- Maintenance of collateral contacts with outside service providers is ensured.
- Residents' financial entitlements are facilitated.
- Medication monitoring is performed as required.
- Visits to residents' apartments and provision of 24-hour supervision are conducted as scheduled.
- Transportation is provided using personal vehicles when necessary.
- Emergencies, incidents, and safety issues are promptly reported to senior staff.
- Team meetings are attended as scheduled.
- Quality Improvement (QI) Training is completed during onboarding and refresher training as needed.
- A culture of inclusion is fostered among employees, respecting individual strengths, views, and experiences.
- Safety protocols and procedures are adhered to, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Health and Safety Awareness is demonstrated through knowledge and adherence to relevant protocols.
- Other duties may be assigned.

Full-time Counselors will receive a $750 bonus after 60 days and an additional $1000 bonus after 8 months.
