Senior/Principal Statistician, MA China

The Statistician or Senior Statistician provides statistical expertise to the design, analysis and interpretation of China MA studies.  He/she provides direction and statistical oversight to outsourcing partners/providers regarding requirements and standards for study-level work. He/she engages in analyses to exploit information to improve design and decision-making.

- Manage study parameters and study design to provide efficient, effective and optimally-sized studies which will provide sufficient data for Evidence Generation

• Provide local scientific expertise in proposal and protocol review for AZ sponsored studies and external sponsored scientific researches (ESRs).
• Leadership of statistical contribution for a well-defined area as delegated by Principal Statistician and agreed with manager as a lead statistician

Promote efficient, innovative and robust evidence generation processes

• Contributing to the development, sharing and/or statistical support of new procedures, tools or techniques in order that the quality, efficiency or effectiveness of the group is improved.
• Identifies and applies statistical methodology to improve the methodology and provide practical solutions for clinical development activities

Interact with stakeholders as key contact with regard to statistical and contractual issues

• Network with colleagues and experts, providing statistical expertise and serving as a resource for others by sharing experience within and beyond project team
• Provide training in statistical analysis to internal and external stakeholders.Negotiates time frames for the completion of tasks
• 100% Compliance with regulatory, industry, AZ standard/policy and SOP requirements
