Job Summary
THE Caregiver NEEDS TO GO TO THE PATIENTS HOME. Each shift is between one to two hours.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to patients in various settings, including hospitals, home care, and long-term care facilities. As a Nursing Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work closely with patients and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care while promoting a positive and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Assist with medication administration and phlebotomy, as necessary.
- Support patients with dementia care by providing a safe and engaging environment.
- Work in collaboration with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Participate in patient education and support their recovery.
- Provide basic life support, including CPR and first aid, as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of patient care and medication administration.
- Assist with maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) or equivalent.
- Experience in hospital medicine, inpatient care, or home care.
- Knowledge of caregiving principles and practices.
- Ability to provide care to patients with various medical conditions, including those with dementia.
- Proficiency in using Epic electronic medical records.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.50 - $22.00 per hour
