What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mortgage Loan Processor/Closer Trainee position at CNB Bank and Trust, N.A.?
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Learn to perform full range of duties pertaining to the loan processing division of the department.
• Develop expertise and communication skills in working with mortgage loan officers, loan servicing, and all other bank personnel to ensure a smooth mortgage loan process and to provide exceptional customer service to all mortgage loan customers.
• Learn to facilitate the loan application process.
• Learn to prepare early and closing documents and disclosure packages within required timelines to be compliant with all regulations.
• Assist in preparation and delivery of files for audit and exam requests.
• Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the loan origination system; assist mortgage loan officers with questions.
• Develop expertise in maintaining follow-up on all required documents for loan closing. Learn to acquire, verify, and document required closing information including, but not limited to, payoffs, charges, real estate tax bills, final homeowner’s insurance, and flood insurance information.
• Develop expertise in performing post-closing review of closing documents to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. Learn to prepare and distribute corrected documentation in a timely manner as required.
• Develop skills in following up for title insurance policies, recorded documents, loan guarantees, private mortgage insurance commitments and other documentation as required.
• Comply with all consumer loan regulations, with particular detail to TRID (TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure), Truth In Lending Act (TILA), and RESPA (Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act).
• Assure delivery of exceptional internal and external customer service by adhering to the Bank’s written service standards.
ABILITIES REQUIRED:
• Strong PC skills, including the ability to use multiple software programs, access multiple websites, and receive insurance bills electronically, etc.
• Working knowledge of accounting principles, with preferably some experience balancing General Ledger accounts
• Familiarity with loan documents preferred
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Good math, typing, and mechanical skills; good customer service skills by phone
• A team player, willing to help wherever needed and do more than is asked
• High school diploma or GED plus additional bank-related training or some college; or 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
WORK SCHEDULE (subject to change):
This full-time position is scheduled for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
