The Credit Officer is responsible for the overall management of the Bank's Credit Administration and Collection Department.

Oversee and evaluate credit and collection policies and procedures to maintain quality control and minimize losses
Maintain effective relationships with potential purchasers, title and escrow companies, receivers, property management firms, and other related vendors

Strong leadership skills and attention to detail
Thorough knowledge of credit policies and credit risks
What You'll Do :
Oversee the review and interpretation of new and pending laws and regulations that potentially affect the Bank's credit practices
Oversee and develop the personnel located within the Bank's Credit Administration and Collection departments.
Coordinate the development or revision of policies, procedures, and underwriting to ensure compliance with the regulatory process. Ensure that deviations from the policy are monitored and reported
Review credit presentations to ensure the adequacy of underwriting. Determines if credits meet sound underwriting standards and do not pose a greater-than-normal risk
Manage troubled and non-performing assets
Provide advice and guidance to the Bank's lending management. Consult with the senior lending department managers as to risk on complex or unusual loan relationships
Act as the principal liaison between the company and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with banking legislation
Approve subordinate personnel collection activities regarding workouts of loan payments on delinquent accounts, assisting in procedures when necessary
Direct collection of delinquent accounts determined to be unresolvable, ensuring that all proper documentation is accounted for, and all data are properly entered
Work with other departments within the financial institution regarding litigation and foreclosure activities
Oversee foreclosed properties for proper management and regular inspections, as well as tax and insurance payments
Oversee the analysis of properties and their corresponding markets to determine and recommend appropriate disposition strategies, book values, and charge-offs in conformance with Bank policies and procedures and regulatory requirement
Review allowance for loan and lease loss analysis and makes recommendations regarding provision expense and adequacy of the ALLL account
Develop, implement, and monitor service standards and operational efficiencies.
Maintain a tracking system for documented exceptions

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics or similar industry required
Strong leadership skills
