Role Profile
Position: Warehouse Specialist
Job Location: Odessa, TX
Job Type: Full-Time
Status: Non-Exempt
Summary of the Role
This position will be responsible for, picking product from the warehouse, quality control shipping and receiving, and where required, providing customer support
Responsibilities
- Must maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures
- Fill and complete customer orders in containers and shipping boxes
- Perform quality checks to identify and replace damaged materials
- Picks product in warehouse and prepares items for delivery or shipping
- Enter orders into company system as needed and provide will call support
- Label or mark containers with identifying information such as client name and address
- Carry out loading and unloading of material orders and shipments
- Pull inventory from racks either manually or using automated equipment
- Weigh individual packages prior to delivery to ensure they meet weight specifications
- Mounts and/or installs gears, handles, tags or any other needs for the order.
- Pulls warehouse items from the shelves based on number, size, color, quantity, and quality requirements
- Operates Forklift and Order picker equipment and ensures safety regulations are followed
- Ensures warehouse goals are met
- Performs other general warehouse and administrative duties as needed
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to interact with customers and team-members in a professional manner
- Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities and adapt to changing roles daily
- Basic computer skills including MS Word, Excel, internet and email
- Forklift certification a plus
- Hands-on, Can-do attitude
- Able to repeatedly lift 20-80lbs
- Be on their feet for 8-10 hours a day and flexibility to work overtime as needed
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in general warehouse preferred
- High school diploma or GED required
