Configuration Manager – Colorado Springs, CO
RESPONSIBILITIES:
CNF Technologies is searching for a Senior Configuration Manager to serve as Configuration Management Lead in support of United States Space Force (USSF) Space Systems Command (SSC) Defensive Cyber Operations in its mission to develop and deliver capabilities to identify, protect, detect, and respond to ground and space based cyber threats. A successful candidate must be a leader and problem solver with a proven ability to deliver superior results as part of a high performing team in an agile, fast-paced software development and delivery environment.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Senior Configuration Manager with MTSI, your management and leadership activities are integrated with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies and many associated stakeholders. SAFe offers proven, integrated principles, practices, and competencies to implement agile and DevOps at scale. Additionally, this program office personifies DevSecOps which automates the integration of security at every phase of the software development lifecycle from initial design, through integration, testing, deployment, delivery, operation, and monitoring.
Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:
- Prepares and ensures complete documentation is maintained.
- Oversees management of configuration items, including documentation, change control board, and lifecycle management.
- Schedules and coordinates change control boards, and documents and implements outcomes/changes/ECPs, which must keep pace with high-speed Agile/DevSecOps environment.
- Leads a configuration management team that is integrated with multi-functional SAFe/DevSecOps and Fielding teams.
- Automates CM to maximum extent possible, using approved tools; works with Quality to ensure effectiveness and adherence of CM policies and automated processes
- Develops and implements CM plan, compliant with SSC policy and NIST 800-53 CM controls
- Delivers SW Source Code and Released Artifacts
- Coordinates CM with PM, Risk, Quality, and Task Lead personnel (Development, Test, Fielding/Sustainment, Cloud Services) and policies
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in the following applications frameworks:
- Microsoft Office products to include Word, Excel
- Adobe Acrobat
- Confluence; Jira; Gitlab; Puppet; Terraform; Ansible
- Ability to ensure CM in on-prem, hybrid, and Cloud environments
- Create/update configuration items and technical documentation
- Create/update workflows; automate to maximum extent possible
- Apply Infrastructure as Code
- Leadership/Team-building
DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Familiarity & knowledge:
- Relevant DoD and/or Industry work experience in Space Systems Command
- Experience with DoD and USSF Defensive Cyber Operations
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree and 18 years’ related professional experience, or Master’s degree and 10 years
- Certification: SAFe for Teams
CLEARANCE:
- Must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance. A Top Secret (TS) security clearance (with SCI and SAP eligibility) is HIGHLY desired.
LOCATION/TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Place of work is Colorado Springs, remote work opportunity is available. You may be required to travel periodically, less than 10%.
The pay range for this position in Colorado is $110,000/year to $130,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract rates, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors. CNF also offers a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per the Colorado Equal Pay Act. Base pay information is based on market location.
