CNG Engineering is a San Antonio-based, professional Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) engineering firm that provides master planning, design and building commissioning services for public and private sector projects across the State of Texas.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate and conduct regular field observations/site visits of the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEPF) systems’ construction work to ensure that it aligns with the approved construction drawings and specifications
- Verify that the materials used, and the installation methods employed meet the specified design standards and requirements
- Review the field installation of MEPF design systems to ensure the intent of the project specifications and construction drawings were met
- Examine and adequately understand project scope, project specifications, and design intent for MEPF and related construction documents
- Review and process contractors’ submittals
- Review and respond to RFIs with the assistance of the design team, if needed
- Create Field Reports, maintain and file records in a timely manner
- Document all site visits activities and evaluate the progress of a project
- Collaborate with all business lines to ensure compliance with all timelines
QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPENTENCIES:
- Proven record of accomplishment for completing tasks with excellent time management skills
- Critical thinking skills with ability to analyze and interpret data
- Advanced attention to detail with excellent verbal and technical writing skills
- Ability to coordinate and work collaboratively across all lines of business
- The Ideal candidate will have a great attitude and strong customer service skills.
TECHNOLOGY/COMPUTER EXPERIENCE:
- Working knowledge of Field Wire preferred
- Working knowledge of Bluebeam
- Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD software for Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 and Office suite to include Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction-related field or equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
- Recent experience in construction and MEP-related field
WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Environment: This role requires work in indoor and outdoor settings with exposure to all types of weather and temperature conditions and travel from site to site
- Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit prolonged periods of time; occasional stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination; to travel to other locations
- Must be able to complete safety training for any job site as required by the general contractor in charge of the job site
WORK SCHEDULE:
- Monday: 8:00AM – 5:30PM
- Tuesday – Thursday: 7:30AM – 5:30PM
- Friday: 7:30AM – 12:00PM
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Current valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
- Must be able to lift 60 lbs.
- Must be able to climb ladders
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Travel is required.
