As an Electrical Motor Hardware Engineer II, you will design, develop, and validate low-voltage electromechanical components, such as solenoids, electric actuators, and electric motors – along with related products, assemblies, and systems for off-highway mobile applications. You will utilize established development processes from concept through production, making necessary modifications as required.

As an Electrical Motor Hardware Engineer II, you will design, develop, and validate low-voltage electromechanical components, such as solenoids, electric actuators, and electric motors – along with related products, assemblies, and systems for off-highway mobile applications. You will utilize established development processes from concept through production, making necessary modifications as required.
- Lead component engineering for the electro-mechanical components, specifically electric actuators including research, development, and evaluation of design concepts based on requirements for various AG and CE applications.
- Technically evaluate new and existing designs for appropriate functionality and the ability to pass electrical qualification tests.
- Document component requirements in technical specifications for new design and current product applications.
- Develop, review and report component design validation plans ( DVP & DVPR), and support vehicle level tests.
- Utilize prototypes as needed to validate new designs and subsystems.
- Document functional specification for the component including integration with vehicle.
- Create and update documentation including design quality procedures, DFMEAs, test specifications, though all phases of the product development.
- Review 8D, 5 why and Kaizen processes for problem solving specifically for root cause analysis.
- Lead technical discussions with suppliers through the different stages of product development.
- Facilitate and support component related technical discussions between cross-functional teams including-engineering, manufacturing, quality, purchasing, supplier quality, etc.
- Participate in reviews of schematics, design reviews, DMUs, and hardware requirements that impact the component design.
- Understand the purpose, application, and feasibility of current global product development process, hardware process for new product and quality resolution.
- Support in the enhancement of existing products or processes.
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a strong electro-mechanical design background.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in development of electro-mechanical components like electric actuators and electric motors – including electrical design, mechanical interfaces, and control.
- At least 1 year of experience in authoring product specifications and component testing with nationally accredited laboratories.
- Minimum 1 year of project management, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
