This position will manage Bills of Materials (BOM) for the organization.  This includes, but is not limited to, standardization of structure and part number descriptions, audits, and accuracy of replacement percentages as determined by business necessity.

The Bill of Materials Analyst is responsible for the accuracy of Bills of Materials to support procurement, manufacturing, material requirements and costs. This position must analyze all BOM and routing change requests to ensure that each level of the multi-level BOM is changed in accordance with the requested change and ensure that the change request is necessary. Facilitate any discussions that are required to resolve issues relating to BOM and Item creation and maintenance. Participate in or lead teams/groups related to BOM accuracy. Perform special cost analysis, prepare reports, and other related duties as assigned. Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure content of BOM is always up to date.

The Ideal candidate will be comfortable with reviewing spreadsheets and interpreting data to understand technical systems and the cause and effect of the changes made.  The candidate must have excellent communication skills as they will be working closely with the supply chain, engineering, and production.  Experience in manufacturing and working with bill of materials will be helpful to the candidate to analyze the data and make recommendations for change. The deliverable will be accurate BOMs that will support proper inventory levels. They will gain an expert level of understanding of how Syteline works in all functions of our business in correlation to BOM functionality.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Own the BOM change approval process for current BOMs
• Create and help manage BOM standardization for structure and part number descriptions
• Target simplification on current BOMs
• Help identify yield issues and communicate to Process Engineers to identify problems
• Partner with Production Scheduler and Purchasing team to identify issues that will result in excess inventory or schedule completion issues
• Ensure BOMs are kept current so Sales can price accurately to the market
• Perform other duties when assigned by supervisor

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required.  Degree in business or technical discipline preferred.  
• Two years’ experience with remanufactured products preferred.
• Proven skills with organization, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good oral and written communication skills in order to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
• Expert knowledge of Excel and ability to communicate technical concepts to individuals with varied knowledge and skill.
