What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Specialist - Core Supply (Springfield MO) position at CNH Industrial Reman?
As the Core Specialist, you will drive continuous improvement of core processes, core utilization, and core pricing. The Core Specialist will work cross departmentally to achieve alignment on core initiatives. This role will work with the Core Technician to determine acceptable core recommendations to engineering while ensuring they are loaded into the systems to maximize usage. The Core Specialist will also work with product management, supply chain and engineering to drive out non-moving or obsolete inventory. The goal is to increase consumption and schedule obtainment.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Review and manage inventory as it specifically relates to core.
- Analize production’s Bill of Materials and recommend core usage percents.
- Attend engineering tollgate meetings to ensure that secondary cores are being taken into consideration at time of conversion.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and execute core strategies across the organization.
- Monitor and reconcile multiple in-house and external warehouse management systems.
- Drive alignment of core processes and initiatives throughout the organization.
- Review core sales and finished good invoices from external suppliers and reconcile them with purchasing.
- Interact with Expeditors to determine root cause of issue with corrective actions.
- Review backorders due to core and work towards a resolution by utilizing in-house inventory or open market purchases.
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
- Participate in and support the principles of open book management.
- Bachelor’s degree or 5-years of related experience
- Accuracy and attention to detail are a critical function of this position and to the success of the organization
- Ability to follow a project through to completion ensuring all steps have been accurately completed.
- Effective oral and written communication skills to communicate with internal and external customers
- Ability to research information and determine the best path for success.
- Understanding BOM’s and base knowledge of reading engineering prints.
- Wear all required personal protection equipment in designated areas. High level of awareness is necessary to avoid placing self and others in an unsafe environment.
- Ability to find, interpret, and apply Job Safety Analysis’ (JSA) Must be able to read MSDS sheets.

- Must have critical thinking, time management skills as well as excellent attention to detail
