The Sr. Commodity Buyer collaborates with suppliers for assigned items, supplies, and/or materials for assigned group/platform.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and evaluate external price trends and new product offerings to reduce overall purchasing costs.
- Collaborates with suppliers to assure the quality of their products, materials, components and/or operations and develops supply recommendations.
- Ensures suppliers can meet forecasted demand.
- May coordinate efforts in the reduction of purchasing/engineering costs and establishing cost for new products.
- May participate in design and/or technical reviews.
- May select, recommend and manage relationships with major suppliers, vendors, or sub-contractors to ensure the organization receives satisfactory standards of service.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in Supply Chain or related field.

The annual salary for this role is $105,750-$155,100 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
