Position Summary
For all business lines under the CNS Cares umbrella, the Payroll Coordinator is responsible for supporting payroll processing operations. This position serves as a main contact point for payroll processes, supports the bi-weekly and weekly payroll process as well as the representing the payroll department. The Payroll Coordinator supports the Payroll Manager’s vision for the payroll department and assists with the development and production of payroll-related statistical reports when asked and ensures accurate and on-time governmental reporting and compliance.
Essential Functions
1. Supports policies and processes that ensure accurate calculation of wages, tax withholdings, and company deductions.
2. Coordinates between finance and human resource departments to provide accurate and useful information.
3. Ensures all team member profiles are accurate and current in the HR payroll system.
4. Reviews and/or edits all time entries and payroll adjustments for accuracy.
5. Runs and reviews reports of hours to ensure complete and accurate hours have been entered each pay period, including clearing payroll exceptions and errors.
6. Reviews payroll batch against emails, offer letters and noted items, making manual adjustments to the batch as needed.
7. Assists with payroll reports once the payroll process is complete; including payroll-related entries to the Finance Department. 8. Maintains participating employee profiles within the 401k TPA website and uploads bi-weekly payroll data.
9. Assists with payroll reports regarding overtime hours, team members last day worked, hours and earnings tracking for benefit purposes and PTO balances on both a recurring and as-needed basis.
10. Assists with the processing of wage garnishments, support orders, levies, mandatory federal withholdings, and mandatory healthcare coverage of dependents that must be processed with payroll to ensure all reporting is done timely and accurately and in compliance with relevant state and federal regulations.
11. Acts as a point of contact with HR payroll system and is responsible for the overall setup, maintenance, and resolution of technical issues; notifies Payroll Manager of potential issues that may impact payroll.
12. Performs regular reviews/audits of team member profiles within HR payroll system, including tax withholding elections.
13. Works to gain efficiencies/effectiveness in assigned areas of responsibility; creates detailed procedure manuals of all assigned areas.
14. Assists staff with payroll questions, PTO accrual information, and tax withholdings processes.
15. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Training
Required:
- An associate’s degree in accounting, Finance, or similar field is preferred. Experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- At least one (1) year of payroll experience
Preferred:
- A minimum of one (1) year working with multiple payroll cycles to include weekly and bi-weekly payroll is strongly preferred
- Multi-State payroll experience preferred
