This position is responsible for maximizing well production and facility usage through the application of industry standard production principles and practices. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring company and contract well tenders and other associated contract personnel, as well as occasional coverage of Foreman’s assigned fields during times of absence and performing lease operator duties at certain frequencies within CNX Production Operations. Lease operating shifts will primarily be limited to covering vacations and new well turn-in-lines. Work schedule will consist of 8-9 hour shifts, five days on, two days off (Mon-Fri). The occasional lease operating shifts would require twelve-hour shifts and some weekend work. Thorough knowledge and experience in all phases of well production, including high rate/high pressure unconventional production, artificial lift, compression, regulation, gas measurement, and other oil and natural gas production methods are necessary in this position. This position (depending on region assignment) may also oversee CNX’s coal bed methane assets, including wells, production facilities, tank batteries, gas and water lines, and intermediate compression.

- Responsible for the overall environmental, health, welfare and safety of individuals and contractors within his/her district and for ensuring compliance with all company policies, Federal, and State laws and regulations.
- Coordination with other departments to maximize production and minimize costs.
- Maximize well production and optimize facility use in all phases of production, including artificial lift, compression, regulation, and other hydrocarbon processing equipment through the application of standard production principles and best practices.
- May lead and coordinate a coal bed methane program with specific focuses on compliance and risk aversion.
- Oversee maintenance of production facilities.
- Manage company and contract personnel such as contract well tenders, roustabout service, service rig work and other associated contract personnel.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of all compliance reporting within a specific area.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical failures/issues.
- Understand and be able to navigate on-site PLC/SCADA systems.
- Properly reporting all non-compliance conditions, emissions, and safety related requirements.
- Perform minor repairs of various production equipment.
- Perform Foreman duties when assigned Foreman is absent or otherwise unavailable.
- Perform Lease Operator duties.
- Must be committed to working safely and maintaining environmental excellence.
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- A minimum of three years of oil and gas production experience is required.
- Must have experience with high pressure Gas Processing Units (separators) and other standard production equipment required for unconventional high rate/high pressure gas wells.
- Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Must possess moderate computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to safely operate a company vehicle on and off road.
- Capacity to work under pressure on multiple projects/phases while maintaining organization and observing high quality standards.
- Dry/Wet Marcellus and Utica production experience.
- Possess knowledge of Federal and State laws with respect to production, SPCC, Emergency Response, OSHA, DOT Pipeline Safety and Compliance and Waste Management plans.
- Experience with condensate producing wells, vapor recovery/destruction systems.
- Extensive plunger lift experience and knowledge.
- General coal bed methane well, rod pump, and compression knowledge.
