CNY Infusion Services is seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse Clinical Liaison looking for an exciting new challenge that allows optimal nursing time to focus on your patients. Your RN skills and clinical judgement are implemented to showcase your education and training. Perform patient assessment/screening, education, IV medication administration, and IV line management while focusing on high-tech IV therapy. Primary responsibilities will be at Syracuse hospitals rotating to other CNY locations.

- Expand your knowledge and diversity while working with all different types of patients with different diagnosis, therapies, ages, physicians and locations.
The RN Clinical Liaison follows up on hospital referrals for high tech, home intravenous therapies at locations primarily in Syracuse and other hospitals around CNY. The Liaison provides patient screening, education and teaching. Collaboration with Physicians, nursing agencies, Dieticians, Pharmacists, Social Workers, Case Managers and families preparing patients to transition from hospital to home on infusion therapies.
Intravenous therapies include: antibiotics, TPN, hydration, antiemetics, IVIG, enteral, etc.
Therapies are administered through PICC lines, midlines, ports, peripheral and tunneled central lines.
Office location is in Dewitt, NY. The ability to build trusting professional relationships with the patients, physicians, families and hospital care facilitators is key to the success of this role. The Clinical Liaison will seek out potential new patient referrals and be actively involved with following our existing patients. Expectations of this position include:
- Interaction with discharge planners on a daily basis to conduct assessment of patients that have been referred to our agency.
- Patient/caregiver teaching regarding infusion therapy.
- Effectively communicate with agency staff, medical personnel, patients and family.
- Maintain a professional image.
- Communicate home care requirements including but not limited to insurance reimbursement, appropriateness of the patient for home, and required prescriptions.
- Build and maintain relationships with referral sources.
- Knowledgeable regarding IV therapies and intravenous catheters
- Detail oriented and ability to multi-task
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
This is a Full Time position Monday - Friday during the hours of 8:30-5:00pm, A clean, valid, NYS drivers' license is required as driving is essential in this position.
