- Project Evaluation : assess project plans, specifications, and other documents to understand the scope of work, materials required and labor involved
- Cost Estimation : lead the process of estimating the costs associated with a project to include materials, labor, equipment, and overhead expenses
- Bid Preparation : responsible for preparing bids and proposals in response to the RFP or bid documents provided by the client
- Team Management : oversee the team project coordinator / engineer or junior estimators, providing guidance, training and supervision to ensure consistency and accuracy in estimates
- Vendor and Subcontractor Relations : negotiate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services required while preparing the bidSalary is $120K DOE. Solid benefits package. Direct placement opportunity.
- Bachelors degree in construction management, engineering or related field is preferred
- 10 years of estimating experience required
- proficiency with estimating software (i.e. Heavy Bid or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite
