Responsible for performing an age and diagnosis specific assessment designed to gather data relevant to the patient’s/resident’s/client’s individual needs. Utilizes exercise, soft tissue mobilization, joint manipulation, manual therapy techniques, equipment and physical and electrical modalities to improve strength, balance, coordination and range of motions, and to decrease pain to restore mobility and function. Provides education related to the treatment program, disease process, and prevention of further injuries to the patient/resident/client and family/caregiver and other members of the health care team. Delegates as necessary aspects of care to the PTA or Rehabilitation aide based on their job descriptions. Demonstrates the ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, to be accurate, and to handle constantly changing situations. Demonstrates the ability to deal with a variety of people, deal with stressful situations, and handle conflict. Will perform all job duties or job tasks as assigned. Will follow and adhere to all requirements, regulations and procedures of any licensing board or agency. Must comply with all Benefis Health System’s organization policies and procedures. Education/License/Experience Requirements: Physical Therapy Licensure, in Montana Temporary licensure as governed by the State Practice Act Graduate of an approved school of Physical Therapy or graduate of accredited college or university with a DPT, Master’s degree, or BA degree in Physical Therapy or certification in Physical Therapy Current BCLS certification.
