What are the responsibilities and job description for the Junior Staff Accountant position at Co-Op City?
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities :
- Analyzes the general ledger as well as other financial documents for consistency and accuracy and posts journal entries to the general ledger in Yardi
- Assists other finance professionals with preparing the appropriate analyses, schedules, and account reconciliations to facilitate year end audit for the Riverbay Corporation
- Work closely with internal departments and external partners on new and existing shareholders' accounts and other financial matters of the corporation, including but not limited to, equity balances, fuel inventory and sale of hot water to the Board of Education
- Manages the financial operations of the Riverbay Fund including the Financial Audit and Tax Returns
- Oversees compliance of maintenance of the accounting books and supporting schedules of the Riverbay Fund and responds to inquiries from the Fund's Board of Directors and external auditors
- Record and analyze revenue transactions in property management software (YARDI)
- Apprise Finance Department management of any issues regarding the accuracy of the general ledger and trial balance and makes recommendations for corrections
- Performs any other tasks as assigned
