Job Title: ARD Facilitator Wage/Hour Status: Exempt
Reports to: Director of Atascosa-McMullen Cooperative
Dept.School: Atascosa-McMullen Cooperative
Primary Purpose:
To coordinate and facilitate Admission, Review and Dismissal (ARD) meetings on assigned campus/districts.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
Texas Teaching Certificate
Special Education Certification preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Strong organizational skills
Social Skills to work with administrative staff and campus teachers
Effective Communication Skills
Understands the ARD process
Basic understanding of Special Education law and how it relates to the ARD process
Experience:
Three years of teaching experience preferred
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Coordination of campus ARD/IEP meetings including:
- Scheduling
- ARD preparation
- Notification of required personnel prior to meeting
- Completion of ARD document and submit for quality control
- Act as contact person for parents of students receiving Spec Ed services.
- Coordinate with appraisal staff and related service personnel as needed.
- Adhere to ARD agenda at all times.
- Complete ARD documents within 5 days.
- Strictly monitor mandated timelines.
- Coordinate Special Education information between campus/district/Co-op.
- Follow all federal, state, and local Special Education guidelines.
- Compile reports and complete PEIMS on completed ARD documents.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Promote teamwork and interactions with fellow staff members
