What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN Day Shift position at CO-OP?
Sign on bonuses are available for part time and full time positions.
We are looking for a reliable LPN to care for adults with disabilities in a professional and considerate manner. You will work under the supervision of a registered nurse.
LPN professionals must be first and foremost qualified and compassionate. The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing diverse basic care to those who need it while remaining patient and calm.
We currently have day positions in Norton, Taunton, Rehoboth, and Marion.
Essential Duties:
- Administer medications and implement nursing treatment plans.
- Confer with physicians, dentists, and therapists as appropriate.
- Communicate with/provide necessary information on relevant health issues to parents, guardians, and applicable Agency staff.
- Respond to participant complaints of illness and recommend appropriate action.
- Confer with pharmacists regarding medications and their acquisitions as appropriate.
- Monitor seizure disorder records.
- Monitor general health status of participants, including hygiene issues and skin integrity.
- Administer minor first aid when necessary.
- Complete all health related documentation requirements.
- Provide standard First Aid/CPR certification training and/or other assigned training/s to Agency employees.
Requirements:
*Current Licensure by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Practical Nurse.
*Experience working with individuals with ABI preferred, CO-OP will provide training
*A valid driver’s license with a good driving record
*Acceptable Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) check, upon hire
