What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance position at CO-OP?
The Maintenance Person, under the supervision of the Property Manager, repairs and maintains agency properties both leased and owned.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or G.E.D preferred.
Ability to comprehend and write English at traditional Grade 12 level.
Possession of a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record, and an agreement to use one’s personal vehicle for business purposes.
Experience in property repair and maintenance.
Physically capable of performing repair and maintenance duties.
Acceptable Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) and fingerprint check.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Perform needed repairs and maintenance at agency properties as assigned by the Property Manager.
Repair, maintain and ensure required inspections of fire and alarm systems as assigned.
As assigned, serve as contact person for agency employees regarding repair / maintenance needs.
Maintain agency equipment, supplies and furniture as assigned.
As assigned, meet with representatives from various agencies to complete required inspections (i.e. Section 8 inspections, Housing Authority inspections, HUD inspections, fire extinguishers, etc.); and maintain appropriate records.
Keep daily log of work completed.
Keep required documentation (i.e. receipts, inspection reports, repair reports, etc.).
Implement preventative maintenance schedules for properties as assigned.
Purchase and safely store supplies as assigned.
Carry a beeper and assume emergency on-call responsibilities as assigned.
