Industrial Maintenance Tech - ALL SHIFTS

Co-Staff is looking to source several candidates for a variety of Industrial Maintenance Opportunities. We have clients in Racine County, Walworth County and Rock County looking to add to their teams! Availability across all shifts, actual shift will vary depending on client!

SUMMARY

In the role of Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will be essential in ensuring the optimal performance of industrial equipment across all shifts. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, your responsibilities will include performing maintenance tasks, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, and utilizing programmable logic controllers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform mechanical, electrical (up to 480v), hydraulic and PLC maintenance and repairs throughout facility.
• Follows safe manufacturing and material handling practices.
• Understands and adheres to 5S manufacturing practices.
• Understands and adheres to employee handbook policies.
• Can follow written and verbal details to complete assignments or jobs.
• Can record time accurately including “time and attendance” and “labor reporting” using the data collection system.
• Mastered use of all required equipment and hand devices.
• Can inspect and clean all equipment.
• Can perform all preventative maintenance on all equipment.
• Has the authority to stop production when nonconforming parts are detected.
• Diagnose issues on equipment such as extrusion machines, grinders, packaging equipment, forklifts, and other machinery throughout facility.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
• Strong technical background.
• Must have experience with maintenance of industrial equipment (3 years).
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, instructions, correspondence and memos.
• Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Extensive experience using hand and power tools, measuring devices, basic fabrication equipment.
• Forklift experience is required.
• Ability to apply commonsense and understanding to carry out detailed and written or oral instructions.
• Must perform all duties in conjunction with company and ISO requirements.
• Frequently required to work on equipment that may contain live electrical parts, high pressure vessels/piping and spring loaded apparatuses. Ability to read, comprehend and implement lock-out tag-out procedures is required.
• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 100 pounds with an assist.

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour

Experience:

• Mechanical knowledge: 2 years (Preferred)
• Industrial maintenance: 3 years (Required)
