- Review initial disclosures and conduct interviews with inventors to develop disclosures further.
- Draft patent application specifications.
- Prosecute patent applications, including responding to USPTO office actions and conducting examiner interviews.
- Communicate with clients about prosecution strategies (English communication is sufficient).
- This position is fully remote, with a preference for candidates located in the DC-Maryland-Virginia area.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
- Completed coursework in semiconductor physics, circuit design, and computer language programming.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from a U.S. law school.
- Licensed attorney in at least one U.S. state.
- Licensed patent attorney before the USPTO.
- At least two years of experience in patent prosecution, specifically in drafting specifications and responding to office actions in the semiconductor and computer science fields.
- Experience in discussing and developing invention disclosures directly with inventors.
- Legal status to work in the U.S.; H1B sponsorship available.
