Job Description
The Service Technician is responsible for the repair and service of luxury motorhome /motorcoaches. The essential functions of the Service Technician position require strong attention to detail with a focus on high quality production while not sacrificing efficiency and productivity. A strong understanding of the construction and functionality of motorhomes /motorcoaches is essential to this position. Availability to work overtime and weekends as well as potential overnight travel is a must.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Diagnose motorcoach repair needs and provide time and part estimates in conjunction with service writer
- Repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, cabinetry, flooring and AV areas of the motorcoach/motorhome
- Track all repairs and parts and provide detailed information to the service advisor
- Talk with customers, as needed, regarding repair and service needs
- Assist in delivery process for sales of motorcoaches
- Ensure the completed work adheres to quality standards by completing quality control review
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in motorhome and/or yacht service and repair
- Excellent communication and team work environment skills
- Proven knowledge of luxury motorhomes and their operations, motorhome HVAC, electrical, and AV equipment acquired from hands on experience
- Ability to perform work on interior such as tile/laminate/wood flooring and cabinetry
- RVIA or ABYC technical certification desired but not required

Physical Requirements
- Ability to manually move, lift, carry, pull or push objects weighing up to 50lbs. independently and up to 100lbs. as part of a team lift.
- Repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers.
- Prolonged stooping, kneeling, walking and standing.
- Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to ascend/descend, work atop and use stairs/ladders
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to:
- Hard glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves and steel-toe boots.
- Ability to work in enclosed/tight spaces, and on secured motorhome roofs at various heights.
- Ability to travel, up to 10%
