Certified RV Technician

This position is geared toward an experienced technician (min 4 years), who is very proficient in the operating systems on an RV and motorcoach. The candidate will perform repairs for our general service department, as well as overlapping operations from our collision department that require specific expertise.

FOR QUALIFIED CANDIDATES THAT MEET THE POSTED NEEDS:

-Higher-than-industry rates range from $30-48/hr

-Steady backlog due to specialty market

-Opportunities and incentives to mentor (if desired)

Qualified candidates for a service/diagnostic repair technician should have experience in one or more of the following:

• In-depth systems diagnostics and critical thinking skills
• Carpentry and interior construction
• Air conditioner and furnace repair
• Electrical (110 and 12V) diagnostic and repair
• Plumbing and LP diagnostic and repair
• diagnostic and repair of leveling and jack systems
• Understanding of the structural components of an RV or commercial vehicle
• Appliance diagnostic and repair
• Slide-out diagnostic and repair

RV Technician Job Responsibilities can include:

• Diagnose, modify or repair slide-out systems
• Examine non-working components, diagnose, test and repair with little input
• Repair and/or maintain plumbing, electrical, flooring, appliances, etc.
• Exterior repairs including roof repairs/replacements, slide-out maintenance, etc.
• Track parts and materials used in repairs or replacements
• Install/Upgrade accessories and components
• Ability to follow schematic diagrams
• Communicating with service advisors when more information is needed or problems arise
• Perform pre-delivery inspections to insure that the final work meets quality standards

Additional RV Technician Qualifications:

• Ability to communicate in a professional manner
• Ability to solve problems without getting agitated
• Ability to work independently as well as with a team
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
