JOB SUMMARY
This position will plan, direct, or coordinate the work activities and resources necessary for shipping and
receiving products in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Oversee the day-to-day workflow of logistics staff.
● Manage supervisory logistics staff.
● Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
● Handle discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company
policy
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
● Collects, interprets, and analyzes various types of logistics data including availability of product,
reliability of transport and delivery, and other data related to product supply chain management,
sourcing, and distribution.
● Reviews logistics processes and procedures; identifies, recommends, and implements
improvements to maximize delivery efficiency while minimizing costs.
● Manages small pack and freight shipments, ensuring on-time delivery and cost efficiency.
● Coordinates with carriers and vendors to negotiate rates and service levels.
● Monitors shipments and address any delays or issues that arise.
● Collaborates with the sales and customer service teams to prioritize shipments based on customer
needs.
● Owns relationships with freight carriers and vendors, maintaining effective communication and
resolving issues promptly.
● Oversees logistics operations at both company locations, ensuring compliance with company
policies and procedures.
● Manages warehouse activities once products arrive, including inventory management and final
dispatch processes.
● Continuously optimizes logistics processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
● Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards for safety and quality.
● Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
● High school diploma or equivalent is required.
● Strong understanding of small pack and freight shipment management.
● At least 4 years of proven experience managing a team in a warehouse setting is required.
● At least 4 years of proven experience in a manufacturing setting is required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position is required to work in an office environment inside of a manufacturing facility with frequent
exposure to the shop floor where PPE is required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is
frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts; toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical
shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work
environment is usually moderate.

● Regularly required to talk or hear.
