Lead LVN

Job Summary: . The LVN Lead will oversee the nursing staff, ensure high-quality patient care, and maintain compliance with all regulatory standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and a compassionate approach to patient care. Reports to Medical Director.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Supervision:
• Supervise and mentor LVNs and other nursing staff.
• Coordinate daily nursing activities and ensure proper staffing levels.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to nursing staff.
• Patient Care:
• Oversee the admission and ongoing assessment of patients.
• Monitor and manage detoxification processes, including medication administration and withdrawal symptom management.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care and treatment plans.
• Compliance and Quality Assurance:
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including Joint Commission and DHCS standards.
• Conduct regular audits of nursing documentation and medication administration records.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and implement best practices.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Facilitate communication between nursing staff and other departments.
• Attend and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Education and Training:
• Provide ongoing education and training to nursing staff on detox protocols, patient care, and emergency procedures.
• Develop and update nursing policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Current California LVN license.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a detox or residential treatment setting.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of detox techniques and practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
