Job Title: Director, Ecommerce, Kate Spade
Primary Purpose: The Director of E-Commerce is responsible for driving the long term, profitable growth of Kate Spade’s North America business through strategic positioning and tactical execution of the website.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the development of the North America digital strategy and lead end to end execution of the site to profitability grow the business
- Analyze business performance, synthesize findings, structure presentations, and communicate recommendations and action items to drive alignment and execute against those strategies
- Partner and work collaboratively with cross functional teams across areas of ecommerce strategy, site experience, buying & planning including:
- Brand Marketing team to manage the content calendar and digital marketing initiatives for ecommerce, including home page, landing page, email, search, affiliate, performance and social media to support the brand and business objectives
- Merchants and planners to drive site-merchandising strategies, ensuring optimal presentation of product as measured by conversion and average order size
- Tapestry IT to implement roadmap strategy for Kate Spade and advocate on behalf of the brand
- Manage external vendors, contracts, relationships and technical requirements to continue to develop and enhance the ecommerce platform
- Be a thought leader on evolving industry trends and technology that would support the brand vision and goals
Qualifications
- 10 years of professional work experience, preferably with experience managing e-commerce projects and user experience
- Demonstrated track record as an outstanding problem-solver and strategic thinker with proven success delivering best in class digital and omni-channel customer experiences
- Excellent interpersonal and people leadership skills - Able to collaborate effectively and drive alignment across teams using a broad range of influence styles to drive desired results
- Proven experience in leading teams including providing direction, understanding resource capability and successfully driving results working with internal or external resources
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently and to manage cross-functional business partners who are not direct line reports
- Able to effectively juggle multiple projects at one time
- Experience working with the Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Demandware) platform
