What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Start Early Head Start Director position at Coahoma Opportunities, Inc.?
· Responsible for providing the day-to-day management, oversight, staff supervision, coordination, and direction of the agency’s Head Start and Early Head Start programs.
· Duties are completed in accordance with the Head Start Performance Standards, Policies, and Procedures, and State Licensing Requirements.
· A minimum of a baccalaureate degree and experience in supervision of staff, fiscal management, and administration in working in Head Start or a preschool program
· Strong supervisory, time management, problem solving, and organizational skills; effective leadership ability, uses the team approach in program management; skills in diplomacy, charismatic in working with people, motivational skills, provide assistance in a collaborative manner, ability to work flexible schedules including evenings and/or weekends, ability to present a positive image of the organization to members of the community, visual and auditory acuity, proficient in preparing grants, budgets, narrative, etc.
· Provide vision, guidance, and oversight to design and the delivery of all program service areas and develops plans and procedures of operations.
· Prepare and submit annual program proposal in accordance with established time frames and procedures that allow sufficient time for meeting deadlines.
· Prepare program budget and amendments with input from senior level management program staff, CFO and Executive Director
