What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Case Manager position at Coalfield Family Services?
We are looking for a case manager to work with CPS and YS cases in the state of WV. The work requires a decent amount of driving and evenings/weekend work since that is more so when the clients are available. A case manager must have a bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, social work, special education, criminal justice, counseling, or a related degree. Providers normally work within 60 minutes of their homes but may be asked to go further at times and we have cases throughout the entire state. Some of the services they would be providing include teaching parenting skills, adult life skills, in home supervision, supervised visits and more.
This position may start out at part-time but develop into full-time quickly.
Drive-time and training time is paid at a reduced rate as compared to direct client time

Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and provide case management for families in need of support services.
- Collaborate with child protective services to ensure the safety and welfare of children.
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to engage families and promote positive change.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies to address urgent family issues.
- Advocate for families and connect them with appropriate resources and services.
- Maintain accurate documentation and case records in compliance with legal standards.
