Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Micro School Teacher to join our NEW educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and promoting the academic and social development of students. This role involves teaching various subjects, engaging students in meaningful activities, and collaborating with parents and staff to support each child's growth.
A micro-school is similar to a private school but cannot have more than 100 students and is often taught out of a small office or even the owner's home. This would be a brand new school and we would love to find someone who could help us grow and who is eager to help. The ideal candidate will be able to teach all subjects at the grade level they are assigned. No college degree is required but preferred.
Duties
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Teach subjects such as Math, Literacy, and Physical Education while integrating hands-on learning experiences.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning.
- Assess student progress through regular evaluations, providing feedback and support as needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance educational programs and share best practices.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student performance, behavior, and any concerns.
- Maintain classroom management to ensure a safe and respectful learning atmosphere.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and methodologies.
Skills
- Strong background in Early Childhood Education or related fields is preferred.
- Experience working with children in various settings, including private schools, childcare, or tutoring environments.
- Proficiency in teaching Literacy education and Math concepts effectively.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that incorporate physical education activities.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills to manage classroom activities and maintain records effectively.
