The Coast District recognizes the interest of employees in seeking or agreeing to transfer opportunities. There shall be no reprisal against employees for exploring transfer opportunities.
When District Office of Human Resources receives authorization to fill a job vacancy, employees who are on the transfer list will be given the opportunity of a lateral (or lower classification) transfer.

The hours of work will depend on the needs of the department. The effective date of employment will be arranged with the supervisor.
