Title:
Sealcoat Applicator
Job Summary:
The Sealcoat Applicator will safely operate equipment to apply specialized seal coating materials on pavement surfaces, apply crack seal and perform other pavement maintenance related tasks.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Clean, prepare and layout areas where coating is to be applied.
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently to properly apply seal coat materials.
- Apply materials such as cracksealer as outlined in scope of work.
- May operate a variety of hand and power tools as well as other equipment needed to complete jobs within specifications.
- Additional tasks of other positions and duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- This position requires the following motions: stretching, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, twisting, throwing, walking, standing, reaching, and squatting.
- Physical ability to operate equipment under temperature extremes, for extended hours of time.
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
- May be exposed to vehicular traffic.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Additional Requirements:
- Attendance is required according to company attendance policy to ensure the crew is able to operate at normal efficiency level.
- Participates and cooperates in all Company scheduled training, briefings, and meetings.
- Provides a positive professional attitude when dealing with co-workers, customers, and the public.
- Ability to be flexible with last minute schedule changes, location changes, time of shift changes. Overtime work may be required.
- Abide by Occupational and Safety Health Act (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements as well as local, municipal, state, and federal laws.
- Applicants applying for driving positions must be a minimum of 25 years of age to meet insurance underwriting requirements for insurability.
Preferred Background:
- Pavement maintenance experience preferred, however not required.
- A valid driver’s license and/ or reliable transportation.
- Spanish proficiency a plus but NOT a requirement.
Preplacement Requirements
All Potential Candidates must be willing to submit to the company required background check(s) as applicable and preplacement drug analysis to be considered for hire.

$25.00 per hour depending on experience.
