Our company is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with expertise in programming. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in machining operations and hands-on experience in CNC programming. This role involves programming and operating CNC machines, interpreting and creating technical drawings, and machining quality parts.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Steup and operate CNC machines such as HAAS VF4.
  2. Setup and operate mills, lathes, and similar.
  3. Ability to machine by hand.
  4. Interpret engineered drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand that project requirements.
  5. Develop CNC programs using Fusion 360 Software.
  6. Ability to write, program, and load 3 axis CNC machine.
  7. Follow instructions and fulfill work orders to meet customer s requirements.
  8. Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.
  9. Perform machine setup, including loading programs, tooling, and workpieces.
  10. Monitor machining processes to ensure accuracy and quality of parts produced.
  11. Adjust CNC programs as needed to optimize machining processes and fabricate quality components.
  12. Inspect machined parts in coordination with production quality controls.
  13. Record and report production, inspection, maintenance data, measurement data, etc.
  14. Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC equipment. Recognize and report machine issues or unsafe conditions.
  15. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  16. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize processes and resolve technical issues.
  17. Trian and mentor junior machinists on CNC programming and machining techniques.
  18. Follow company policies, safety policies, and other rules and procedures.

Skills:

  • Proven experience as a CNC machinist with proficiency in programming.
  • In-depth knowledge of CNC machining principles, tooling, and materials including, but not limited to cutting tools, toolpath optimization, and machining strategies.
  • Experience in operating CNC machines, lathes, mills, etc. with mechanical aptitude.
  • Highly skilled and proficient in CNC programming (required). Ability to create, modify, and optimize CNC programs to achieve desires machining outcomes.
  • Ability to program using the Fusion 360 software.
  • Solid understanding of mathematics to calculate dimensions, angles, speeds, and feeds for machining operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints and specifications accurately, which includes interpreting dimensions and tolerances.
  • Familiar with handheld measurement tools such as comparator, digital caliper, micrometer, height gage, gage pin, and similar tools.
  • High organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality.
  • Effective written and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and take instruction from supervisors or management.
  • Strong time management skills and understanding of project timelines.
    Flexibility to work overtime if needed.
  • Willingness to stay updates on advances in CNC machining technology, software updates, and industry best practices.
  • Commitment to safety, a safe working environment, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
