Location : Hybrid in Oyster Bay, NY

Employment Type : Part-Time, Hourly (Competitive hourly rate encompassing both clinical and writing time)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled, independently licensed psychologist to join our team on a part-time, hybrid basis. The ideal candidate will have expertise in both therapy and neuropsychological assessments, working with children, adolescents, and adults. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge tools and techniques in a supportive and dynamic team environment. Responsibilities :

  • Comprehensive Neuropsychological Assessments : Conduct diagnostic evaluations, testing, and report writing for children, adolescents, and adults.
  • Individual Therapy : Provide therapy services to those ages 4 addressing cognitive, emotional, and behavioral concerns through the implementation of evidence-based modalities.
  • Collaborative Care : Work closely with a multidisciplinary team and external providers to ensure cohesive and integrated care for clients.
  • Use Modern Tools & Techniques : Incorporate the latest methods in neuropsychological assessment to provide cutting-edge care.
  • Documentation : Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA and professional standards.
  • Cultural Sensitivity : Demonstrate cultural humility and sensitivity while working with clients from diverse backgrounds and self-reflecting on our own positionality in the treatment process.
  • Ongoing Learning : Participate in professional development and training to stay up-to-date with current trends in the field.
  • Recommendations : Provide treatment and intervention recommendations based on assessment results and client needs.

Qualifications :

  • Education : Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology, School Psychology, or a closely related field.
  • Licensing : Independently licensed to practice as a psychologist in the state of NY (e.g., Licensed Psychologist).
  • Experience : Strong background in work with children and families, including neuropsychological assessments for children, teens, and adults. Preferred completion of an assessment-focused postdoc.
  • Therapy & Assessment : Expertise in both therapeutic interventions and evidence-based assessment techniques.
  • Diversity : Demonstrated ability to work effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds and a commitment to cultural competence.
  • Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts in accessible terms. Clear and professional written communication with a high level of attention to detail. Friendly demeanor.
  • Availability : Some flexibility in a shared office space with a commitment of 15-32 hours per week.
