Non-sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician

Job Description Summary:
Looking for either non-sterile compounding technician AND/OR customer relationship specialist (phone) . Experience preferred but not required. Looking for Morning shift or full time.

We are located in the Lakewood/Golden area and are looking for a Pharmacy Technician(s) to work with patients both in person and over the phone. Job duties for phone tech include processing refills, answering phone calls and patient out reach. Job duties for compounding technician includes making capsules, creams, gels, suppositories and more.

We will provide all on the job training for software and procedures.

Job Description:

Pharmacy Tech Job Responsibilities

• Understands and can perform basic pharmaceutical calculations in order to obtain correct doses of medications.
• Can prepare medications under the supervision of a pharmacist so they are accurately compounded. Adheres to appropriate safety and quality assurance practices. Complies with state and federal laws.
• Understands basic drug terminology.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient and proprietary information. Observes legal and ethical guidelines for safeguarding the confidentiality of patient and proprietary information. Understands and complies with HIPPA.
• Completes all duties as assigned by manager or Pharmacist in Charge.

Basic Education and/or Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred Colorado Pharmacy Technician license or Provisional license

Basic Qualifications & Interests (BQIs)

• Experience providing customer service
• Basic office skills, (sending, receiving, and organizing communications).
• Ability to lift a 50 lbs box from the floor to assist in stocking meds.

Salary: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour depending on experience

Experience:
