Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor/Maintenance professional to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that our facilities are clean, well-maintained, and safe for all employees and visitors. Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in all areas.
- Conduct custodial duties such as restroom sanitation, waste disposal, and replenishing supplies.
- Execute floor care procedures including buffing and waxing to ensure floors are presentable and safe.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
- Engage in commercial cleaning activities for various spaces including offices, hallways, and common areas.
- Support industrial cleaning efforts by adhering to safety protocols while using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
- Carry out porter duties as needed, ensuring that all areas are tidy and organized.
- Clean furniture & fixtures.
- Clean windows, glass partitions and mirrors.
- Dust furniture, walls, machines and equipment.
- Steam-clean or shampoo carpets on occasion.
- Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours. Including the Laundry room, bathrooms, post office & clubhouse.
- After hours change mail room sign to RED
- Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
- Requistion supplies & equipment needed for cleaning & maintenance.

Requirements
- Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing and maintenance of different flooring types.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices is a plus.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting, bending, or standing for extended periods.
- A proactive approach to identifying maintenance needs or safety hazards within the facility.
