Jr. Mechanical Engineer

Description

Supports the engineering department with basic research, data collection, and problem-solving for engineering projects and initiatives. Finds ways to enhance products; helps with developing and testing solutions. Assesses the performance and reliability of engineering designs with tests, simulations, and analysis.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support: Provide general support to the engineering and new product development departments
• Testing: Validate performance through testing, utilizing data to create detailed reports and visuals
• Problem solving: Identify potential areas for improvement, recommend solutions, and work with teams to resolve issues
• Research: Collect data and conduct research to support engineering projects
• Design: Collaborate with senior engineers to design and develop new products, systems, or solutions
• Documentation: Prepare or assist in preparing technical drawings, specifications, reports, calculations, designs, sketches, and plans
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with company and customer quality requirements
• Maintenance: Support the implementation and maintenance of engineering processes and standards

Experience and Skill Requirements

• Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software
• Ability to work autonomously and with a goal-oriented mindset
• Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Education

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a or experience related field, preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and proficiency in relevant engineering software
• Advanced user with all Microsoft Office Software
